Ocean Market Update November 2026 | CAROZ

Written by Caroz | Nov 5, 2026, 9:32:24 AM

Calm before the storm? Our November Ocean Market Update shows what’s moving under the surface, and what it means for your cargo.

On the surface, the ocean market looks quiet. Spot rates are rising again but still sit about a third below their July peak, and carriers are struggling to push through their November increases. Underneath, a lot is moving: the return to Suez, record attacks around the Strait of Hormuz, low Rhine water and an early Chinese New Year on 6 February 2027.

CAROZ’s eye opener:
The coming months are harder to read than the rate level suggests. More capacity is on its way to North Europe, but the pre-holiday peak is squeezed into December and January, right through Christmas, the year-end and the 2027 contract talks. With schedule reliability stuck at around 50%, one delayed ship in January can push your cargo past the holiday.

Storm or no storm, the coming weeks will decide whether your cargo makes it. In the full update we show you where the risks are, lane by lane, and how to prepare.
